Thrive Advocacy was originally created for the sole purpose of helping parents/guardians in the Northern California region navigate the special education process and to prevent them from walking that journey alone. We have a wide range of experience and service levels available.
Even when everything is going "right" the special education system can be hard to navigate. With over a decade of experience we are here to help. We have worked in charter schools, public schools and non-public schools. We have worked with all grade levels and levels of need. Our focus is making sure parents are acknowledged as EXPERTS and treated as peers in meetings. All with the over arching goal of children not just surviving the education system but thriving in it.
We work hard to guide parents as they navigate new diagnoses, IEPs, and 504 plans. This includes an overview of meeting formats, help with drafting letters, and learning what types of questions to ask.
We believe that education plays a vital role in advocating. We want you to understand your child’s educational plan, their goals, and services. We want to educate you on what is available and what pitfalls to avoid.
Our goal as your advocate is that you feel empowered! We want you to feel confident before, during and after your IEP/504. We do this by making sure we give you the tools and the language to get your child’s needs met.
